Poetry is a beautiful thing: you can't feel it's warmth but you can hear it sing...

Red Lace - Part I

Every time I bend my knee to climb upon this ladder
My smile gets wider, I know what's going to happen
I clench my wrist, hiding the gentle red lace
As the cold air hits my skin, I know it's not a waste
I make my last step up, that's the end of the season
Looking down, I'm not afraid: I have my perfect reason
Why fear? As I fall, I want to feel something real
Running a hand through my rough hair, I tangle the lace
It's my life and my story, it's what I take with me
Shutting the lids, I smell my finish, without a reason to scream
Letting go with the last smirk on my frozen face
I fly; wings broken and lost on the last chase
Song in my mind, no, not the perfect "Don't Jump"
It's the sweet melody of my last moment
"Frei Im Freien Fall" is playing over again
"Free in a Free Fall" the melody in my every vein
Lips frozen, as I say goodbye so sweetly sounding
No regret, no feeling, wonderful to notice
I know I am falling to hell with my soul
But I feel like I'm flying to heaven after all
All that I wanted, and my lies, I take with me
But release, I, only one thing from my cursing
Opening the palm, the little red bird escapes my cage
Fly, my red lace, fly and carry my story
This flight feels so slow and important as ever
Why couldn't I feel like this when I stole his second?
No, he is not the reason, not the whole point
Whatever, as long as he laid his eyes upon my fragile face
All will be left, all that stays uncursed of my own
Will be my only long and wasted red lace
Turning my head I look at it fly
It's falling away, into the grey sky
As I fall into hell, it flies up into heaven
I let it go, as I fall into the dark pit of death
"I fall into hell, and let my red lace travel to heaven"

Red Lace - Part II

Wind blowing the hair out of his pale face,
He is walking down the street, careless of the cold.
The sky is grey. The world is dark; unaffected by the red lace.
As if every innocent soul in the world has been sold.
His blue eyes match the invisible sky.
Looking up, searching hope, he has nothing to hide,
Waiting for his final straw to throw him off the edge.
Because to him - love and live is nothing but a foolish lie
He's been fooled and deceived, just like another soul
Who is looking down upon him, waiting for the words
Tries to whisper, but no voice coming out of his throat
He still looks up, searching the grey for hope,
Just as he sees the flash of red disturbing silent dark.
He stops and reaches out a hand, cathcing the red lace,
Just as she felt a smile forming on her fragile face.
Holding in tight, soaking the small string,
He looks at the lace, as if reading the sad story,
Feeling every motion, feeling all the pain.
He is taking all inside, taking all the worry.
Maybe her death was not all in vain?
He remembers her eyes; that intense final stare
He remembers those grey eyes, like a permanent capture
Right before that night, she gave him her last look
Taking it as a precious gift, he buried it in his mind
He hoped it wasn't his fault, her mindless suicide
He tied the red lace around his old scar
He looked at it every time he longed for his knife
Staring in red, with his tear-shed, burning eyes
Clenching scarred wrist, he untied the strong knot
Looking at the lace, last time, as he thought
Sudden black marks appeared on the lace
He touched them so gently, leaving a trace
Letters were forming, the words were combined
His vision is blurry, can't see the red dye
He read his saviour sentence, with a memory of her eyes
Reading those words, it just hit him inside
He whispered her faith, letting his own be saved,
As she heard her old words, another smile appeared.
The words rang through the air, like a silent eleven:
"I fall into hell, and let the lace travel to heaven."

Red Lace - Part III

Never do her hazel eyes leave his boyish face
In love, she doesn't know what to do about it
Before, she barely noticed teh beautiful red lace
Another journey to his heart, into his mind has started
She's been watching his for a long time now, obsessive, shall I call it?
Before, he looked depressed, expression blank and dead
He looked so empty, so in sorrow, as if an angel's fallen
Empty body, no loving sould, no word has ever been said
Is that what pulled her into his life? She doesn't know the answer
She can't help her heart, he is too misterious for her girly mind
She's still in love, hoping to get his undivided attention
Her love's not sorrow; it's her happiness, her right
So she's still watching him solemnly, following his life
She noticed his eyes, first so empty and so dark
They have filled up with joy, with happiness and might
She didn't notice at first, as if she walked through an empty park
Not understanding the change, she kept watching him still
He went from darkness to light, in one second's glance
She smiled at him and he talked to her then
It was as if she got another great chance.
Now they are together in love, in embrace
Then she finally noticed the waited long answer
It took just one worn-out beautiful red lace
That sits on his wrist since the end of cold story
Weeks into love she still watches his hand
Where the lace flows ever so gently
She reached out to touch that unbreakable land
Words unspoken, he untied it and handed it in moment
With a smile she welcomed the feeling awaiting her
She fiddled and played with connecting red lace
She read burning letters painted into it
"As I fall into hell, this lace will travel to heaven."
She read it all over, then looked at his face
One single glance made her read the whole story
He smiled at her, taking back the red lace
They're connected with a sacrifice, sould made just for them
Now the sould from above is smiling down upon them
As she hears the whiper reading her faith
Obsessive smart girl has whipered the sentence
"As I fall into hell, this lace will travel to heaven."
